The damage in the end was not heavy at all. I would never have thought that it tumbled as the pics show.

Guess that our old F2's and F3's crash well. Another good plus for the old dinosaurs...

Too bad Henk wasn't able to race the next day, he could have sealed up 3rd place in F2

Was he injured in the crash? Did he get in too hot? How did this happen?

It was a case of someone trying to instigate a new sport of motorcycle curling. I don't remember who it was but they got the front end light coming out of one and lost it. The bike slipped onto its side and slid down and took out Henk like taking out the safety rock. Henk said he didn't see it coming until he'd turned in and it was far too late to do anything to avoid it.

I heard it was Mr. Cornwell (who is no slouch in his own right) that caused the unfortunate curling incident. Further bench racing to come, I'm sure.

Yeah, me too... :eek Henk took it well. He knows it was just one of those things. Never heard the outcome but other than a full body bruise and pleanty of aches he was generally OK other than for his hand which most likely has a broken bone or two. It was swollen badly and he could barely move his index finger.

Bumber to hear Henk got taken out. I know he would accept it as "just racing" I love the passion he brings to the local scene and I would love to be a member of the "Mid Life Crisis" Team some day.

I have to tell you, it was his, and Patricks and James's attitude that instantly made me a fan, and member of that team. Still am!
He has a broken finger, but we are off this weekend up north.
