Ya...I was checking out some Pikes Peak footage. The specialized racer's are super cool! They run winged Super Mods with injected BB up Pikes....very similar to the Suzuki. I love all the crazy one off shit they build for that mountain!

yup, it was a Husky 610. I wish i could find that run on Vid somewhere. It blows me away that he ran as fast as he id on race rubber. If i remeber right it was a rain tire up front and a cut slick out back.

That car is too cool. I`m not a huge fan of Oval racing of any type, but I dont mind watching the odd Nascar race. I had the opportunity a few years ago to spend the weekend with a Busch team that belongs to a guy I know. It was dam cool! No matter what you think of em, a full bodied stock car of that calibre is pretty fuggin impressive when your right there with it. A 600 hp naturally aspirated 350!!....Fugggetaboutit.

If you haven't strapped your ass into a stock car and done battle,so you can compare it to bikes...then you have no comment. And you don't notice that your going in circles.....it's just one continuous race.
I've raced motorcycles at Westwood, motocrossed, hare scrambled and stock car raced, all licensed and sanctioned events. They all have there own degree of difficulty and fun but the stock car program was by far the toughest and most time consuming to be involved in. And i can guarantee anyone from this site wouldn't be able to hold a cup of water in their hand after driving couple of laps in a Sportsman. You'll be shaking like a leaf from the adrenaline!:rockon

That supermod wouldn't be much fun on the street...it turns left all by it's self, they usually have a 3-4 degree caster split up front and 6" of rear stagger.

Gary Trachy, rider of the #357 in the 750cc Motorcycle Class. Trachy would make his record breaking run with a time of 11:46.841. The fastest of the motorcycle classes. The open wheel and unlimited classes run into the 8 minute times. Gary is a regular poster on Supermoto Junkies.
