Rode it this past weekend after hearing about roadwork being done. Had kind of sworn off of it a couple years ago.

Wow! This is one smooth road now, with fresh blacktop. Looks like they have paved about 75 percent of the road, and while there are still a few sections yet to be paved, meaning you will need to ride over some grooved pavement for a few kms, the paved sections are beautiful.

I figure in a month when they have finished, and have painted some lines, this will be one of the best roads around.

thanks Frank. yippee! makes a nice alternative to looping thru Cache Crk after the Duffey...

Rode it today, and while they have finished all the paving, they are working on filling in the edges of the road with sand, so the surface is dusty compared to last week. I wouldn't be ripping on it yet, but it is smooth

Was up there beginning of last week. roadwork & slow vehicles meant less than full enjoyment of the twistiest. good to hear that the paving is done. Note to self to return soon.
