Knowledge of the road does not make one immune from error or happenstance. Such an error can have a profound "impact" on other innocent road users hence my contention. If you want to ride like a racer, find a suitable venue. Mulholland isn't one, nor is the Dragon.

Wellll. Mulhoand is kinda a de facto racetrack. When I said irresponsible, I was projecting my own responsibilities. I don't think these guys were really endangering anyone but themselves. Yea, if they f'd up a right hander they'd have ended up in oncoming. The average tourist in a rent a wreck would end up with an amusing hood ornament. The only people they pose a remote risk to are other bikers. I think you could make a decent argument that anyone on a bike on mulholland knows or ought to know that an airborne motorcycle and/or motorcyclist is potential hazard.

I have ridden that road, and the surround area twice. Since i'm not from there, and generally unfamiliar with the area, i took it fairly easy, enjoyed the sights and and nice weather. Does this mean i'm deserving of having one of these assclowns making my wife a widow when they make the tiniest error and cross the yellow into my lane? I accept the general hazard and risk that comes with riding a motorcycle, but i think we all deserve to be on any public road with the reasonable assumption that someone else won't be treating it as their own personal motogp track.
Clearly it's time some of the more mature members on here graduate to adventure touring bikes or cruisers as the idea of of a street sport bike being used for it's intended purpose is just far too scary for them to watch.
