Hey Guys...Just got back from one of the best weekends of riding I have ever had. I went down to join Jason Pridmore at his Star School in Pahrump, NV. It had to be by far the most fun I have had on a motorcyle. I learned a ton and the track was amazing. The event is put on to give you more track time in a day then you can handle. The sessions are set up 20 minutes on the track, 20 minutes of classroom instruction. All day long! Probably 10 sessions a day. It was crazy.

I am heading back to do another 2 day school at the same track ( Pahrump NV, it's about 40 minutes outside of Las Vegas). I was thinking of organizing some kinda group deal with him. Similar to what I do with the Adrenaline Freaks Track days (for those who do that event with me) wanted to see if there was any interest. The drive is really not bad. And the school makes it all the more worth it.

Shoot me an email ( [email protected] ) or post up here if you think you might be interested. I will be going for sure, but it would be great to get a canadian group to go....Plus who wants to wait around for it to warm up to ride! not me....

Cheers.....Amber

UPDATE - PAHRUMP IS GETTING FULL

K. Jason will be giving anyone from our group a discount. The amount will be dependant on how many people sign up. Please mention that you are part of "Amber Rimes Canadian Group" when you phone in, or if you sign up online please add this in the GOALS section where you have the ability to type free form. If you have registered please let me know as well, so I can keep track of the group numbers. When you register you pay a set deposit and the discount will be taken off the final payment once we know how many have registered. This will be the case for both Pahrump and Thunderhill so if you want to get a head start for T-Hill make sure to add that you are part of my group for that one as well.

Most that attend the school stay at

Best Western 866-713-9688
1101 S. Hwy 160 Pahrump, NV 89048
(or you can book online at www.bestwestern.com)
you can mention on the phone that you are attending the school and I am sure there is a discounted school rate.

You get 9 sessions a day. He has the best school. His instructors are great. And Jason is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. He drives a Corvette Z06 too so he must be cool.

I would be interested but I really had my eye on his Thunderhill dates in April 2007.

Yeah...he took his Z06 out on the track at luch in Pahrump. Him and Gallardo have matching ones! they kicked ass!

Oh and I will be doing the three day school in Thunderhill in April too! Two day school plus the added pro school on the third day. If we can get a Canadain group together for Pahrump, then I wil do another group for Thunderhill too.

Thunderhill is a killer track too...I love it. Can't wait!

I'm not sure about pahrump. I am having transportation problems lately as in I have a trailer but no tow vehicle. You may have read about my girlfriend misadventures in other threads (Team Troll @ willow springs). The tow car was hers...

By thunderhill I'm hoping to have other arrangements (a new GF) for a tow. I'm not as good looking as I used to be so I need the extra month for "relationship development".

Yes, my life is a disaster. But I'll see you at Thunderhill.

Haha...sounds Good! Good luck on finding the perfect Tow Girlfriend!

I'm thinking that there may be a bunch that will want to come... maybe you can combine your trailer with someone who's girlfriend only left him the truck....

I will make a posting for a a group for Thunderhills when it gets closer.

Are you going to do all three days??

Sounds like fun. it's $2500 US right?
No the Star School for Pahrump Regular price is $675 for both days. It is Saturday and Sunday February 24th and 25th.

The thunderhill dates are Tuesday & Wednesday April 4th 5th Regular Price is $675 and then you can do the Thursday. The thisday is a PRO School limited to 20 riders. It is $575 for the additional third day.

I'll see how many people are interested, if we can get a bunch I will organize for both trips.

3 days at T-Hill...so tempting.

I love that track and, like Amber said, well worth the drive.

Jason and Brett, you two should plan to get in on this. You won't regret it.

Do I have the option to skip the 2-up ride with Jason? I appreciate the offer, but that's just a little beyond my "comfort zone".
That being said, I can't believe he's got the bike leaned over that far with a passenger - yikes!

Scorp, it's the most awesome experience you could ever imagine. His school is a bit more "racer" than others like CSS or CLASS so you can imagine that he gets some fast guys coming out. He laps the fast guys with you on back.

I don't suppose we might be able to go down using your truck? I'd happily split the costs and kick in some cash for repairs to get it ready for the trip?

The Star School is awesome and you get more track time than at a typical track day. He runs 2 groups rather than 3. It's intense.

By the way Scorp, the 2-up rides are given by Jason in return for a donation to a charity. I don't remember what the charity was but it was something for crashed riders. Not for new fairings or anything like that but I think it was for guys that were underinsured for their medical expenses.

Was it perhaps for the 2-up passengers that he wiped out with in prior runs? :D

Hmmm...if it's for the end February, that might work (or were you thinking the April ones?)...as long as the truck is still running. LOL. Probably wouldn't need the trailer either. Just throw the bikes in the back.

Well, either that or Thunderhill (Sacramento) in April.

I am looking into alternatives but I really fucked myself up by breaking up with my girlfriend. Well, with regards to transporting the bike anyway. How am I supposed to get the race bike around now? God damnit.

My sanity is slowly coming back though.
