You're on two wheels, so I will wave at you on the high way. But an attitude like that????????

Is it just me, or does it look like there have been quite a few new members lately that like to start out as an ignorant #$%*? :banghead

I went out on a Buell test ride once while I was in Kamloops. The O2 sensor failed and the bike choked out while I was rolling into a corner on the way up to Lac Le Jeune.

While driving back in the Buell truck with the bike in the back, we stopped to pick up a tail light cover that had fallen off of another one of the test bikes.

When they were unloading my test bike at the shop, I noticed a splinter of aluminum jammed up between the rear disk and pad. Apparently they had been working on the bike that morning and had screwed something up. Glad I didn't use the rear brake during the ride.

On separate, more recent ride, we went out on a warm day. It felt like I was sitting on a toaster oven.

Seriously, have you ridden a late model 600 or a 1000? Useful torque you say, I guess you're scared of revving past 9000. Oh wait, Buells can't rev that high.

I've test rode two Buells - a Lightning and a Thunderbolt (in nature, isn't a Lightning and a Thunderbolt the same thing?)

The Lightning's motormounts had failed after only 600kms and the Thunderbolt had fuel delivery problems on my test ride so I couldn't take it far before turning it around.

And the whole running out of steam at 6,000RPM was kinda anti-climactic. And I'm a twin fan!

I really like the look of the newer Buells, and for a split second this spring I considered buying one. But I just cant get by the motors they have. A bike that innovative deserves more than a motor from the 1940`s. I wish Harley would get their heads out of their asses and get Porsche to build them a Mill for the Buells.

Hey there are people that find being pissed on and watching hidden-toilet-cam videos sexually stimulating so there are sure to be a few loose bolts out there that luv Buells as much as you.

I have ridden Buells and I am very familiar with the machine. I would not buy one.

I need to voice my opinion. ORANGE all the way.

I just can't wrap my brain around a lump of metal that uses push rods and is designed with a severe case of asthma. If it's unique style and a fire breathing motor...then it's the KTM 990 Superduke2 for me. 120HP @ 9000rpm.

Buells will never be as good as Japanese, British or Italian bikes. The problem with the americans is that they put form over function. They try to get by on style points. Not gonna happen in the world of motorcycles.
