Hi i'm a noob, and i've seen this littered around the forums that kawi's are junk!

I know this is gonna start a flame war but i had to ask because i was thinking about buying one as a first bike.

IF THIS IS TRUE, WHY? is everything they make junk or are the 600cc bad in particular, is it becasue the tires fall off? or because they are slow? what year did kawi go downhill? What is the STORY behind people saying this?

as much as i hate to admit it, i'm finding it an okay starter bike. it runs, it's got pep, it's a bit jumpy through the gears, very torque-y, but overall not bad.
wish i'd got a suzuki, though, 600cc.

dont assume that kawis are junk just bcoz you see it floatin around here....you have to try it and ride it to find out.....i own a kawi i love it and never had a problem with it....most people here who say that never really ridden a kawi before...its self preference....they're all good bikes..

i owned a kawi and loved it awesome first bike...its just an inside joke on here that everyone hates kawis then only reason i didnt buy a kawi as my second bike is because i got my bike at a fantastic deal otherwise i was set to pick up a zx7r

my buddy has a 05 kawi, from what I seen it seems to be alright but he's having a clutch problem and only has 8000km on it. Of course he rides like a maniac so that might be the problem

There are just as many problems with all the Jap bikes but we over look them and focus on Kawi's because we have the impression that they are garbage. Either way who cares, the only thing i know for sure is that Harleys ARE junk.

i had a 03 kawi zx6r I loved this bike but was stolen 2 weeks ago , i went and got on every bike i could find , i am staying with the kawi but i am getting the 06 or 07

i have an '85 400. i love it for a first bike...a bit heavy but handles well, not that i am very experienced. just received my class 6 on the 12th. i will get a newer kawi, once i have mor miles under me!!

I heard from a guy that test rides and writes reviews that the ZX-9R is an excellent bike in every respect. Can't comment on the other models though.

why do people always start on older bikes when newer bikes handle way better and dont cast that much more then older ones , i had my 03 and got it 5 months ago , who cares if u drop it as its only a bike , learn from mistakes

I own both Kawi and Suzi and they are both great ladies.
I had a honda and it was like a Hard core chick that wouldn't say no.
and the Yammi.... well she just didnt like me nor did I her after time!
man,,, I wont get into the itailian twin I met for a short time (high maintance man)

Ps Learn to do maintance on your Suzuki and Kawasaki cause there is no service like your own service on your riding equipment.
