March 29, 2002 - Kawasaki ZX-RR MotoGP Machine Revealed

The announcement that Kawasaki will compete in the MotoGP class of the FIM Road Racing Championship in 2003 marks the Japanese factory´s return to a series in which they haven´t competed since 1982 - an absence of twenty years.

Kawasaki will make their return to the World´s premier Road Racing series with an inline four, DOHC four-stroke, the ZX-RR.

Development of the ZX-RR four-stroke is being undertaken by the factory in Japan, with former Kawasaki World Superbike rider, Akira Yanagawa, heavily involved in the development process.

hahaha you're dreaming again...suz. had to push ahead with the prototype V4 becasue they weren't able to be competitive with their 2 stroke bike :flip :D:D:D:D

well, somehow they won it in 2000 on that slow-mo non-competitive 2-smoke :)

2000 was 2 years ago....dude, I am talking about now, today, they had to switch to the 4 stroke prototype bike becasue they most likely reached the break even point in $$ in R&D for the 2 stroke compared to how well it could be improved compared to the other bikes...
