I just picked up a used Mychron3 without an IR beacon, wondering if I just how badly I need to pick one up in order to get timed laps at Track Daze. I believe it's compatable with XT Racing Ultra-lap beacon, which I know several racers use.
Simple answer, yeah if I really want times, get it... But doesn't it pay just to set up and use only one beacon at the start/finish? (ie. More than one at the start/finish could result in a split time).
Do racers set up their own beacon in addition to DbCom at WMRC events?

Mspeed usually provides one, and if not someone else will have one, I ran my XT all year and only once did I have to stop in and ask Marbod to set his up....

Beat me to it. Marbod sets his up at the start finish line.

If there was another one out there you can set up your timer to run split times, but Mission is a little small for that I think.
