leathers on sale?

I have a good deal on leathers... See tag..

I'm 5'10" and 185lbs and I wear a size 44 leathers if that helps. Size 42 is a little snug

i am 5'7-8" roughly, and around 170 Lbs and wear a size 44 too, some times if it fits larger a size 42, but 44 fits comfortably.

if you've waited this long, wait a bit longer and see what you come across at the bike show.

I think its amazing how much people pay for leathers in North America...browsing the classifieds, people want $500 - $1000 for used sets. I just picked up a like-new Alpinestars GPU in black for 250, and Hein Gericke one-piece for 200 here in the UK.

wait for the bike show, you might be able to find some good deals. It's a hit or miss situation.

Every brand of leathers fit differently. The only way to get it right is to try them on. The bike show, at the Tradex in Abbotsford ( January something?) is probably the best place to try on a set from most of the manufacturers. Snug is good as they will stretch 'a little'. One thing to make sure is that they are snug ( preferably adjustable ) at the wrist. If you go down and ride it out on your arms the leathers will want to ride up and expose your arms. Remember, for the most part you get what you pay for. It's your hide, protect it well!

bike show is Jan 18-21 I think at the Tradex in Abbotsford. My dad picked me up my ticket last week from some Harley shop. Saves the cold lineup waiting to get in. Just walk thu the door and wish I had brought more money.

Hit up the Chrono guys on the way to Science World too, you'll get a chance to see the new naked.

FWIW... the first set of leathers you buy needn't be the best or best looking. As long as they fit, they're the right leathers for you. IMHO, better to have sturdy used leathers ...than to wait for the perfect pair to arrive 'on sale'. Soon you'll see a lot of used gear coming up for sale... worth waiting for.
