Hey guys, I just received my Learner licence and am now looking to take a course to speed track my training so that I can obtain my class 6 before the end of this year.

I've been speaking to people at Pro Ride and Action Motorcycle, just wondering if there were any other 1-2 week programs available out there.

I believe Pro ride is $695.00 and Action is $550.00. I don't want to spend more than $650 for this training so whatever you guys have in mind would be great.

I heard there was a previous instructor from Action who started his own company and is now teaching in Vancouver? I would prefer training in Vancouver/Burnaby but will consider other places as well.

Anyways, any ideas would be great!

Thanks.

Action has now become Pacific Riding School... (Action) Pacific Riding School has always been is Surrey from my understanding, and is considered the Premier riding school in the lower mainland....

There are lots of good schools:

BC Safety Council
V-Twin (Abbotsford)
Cyclelogics (Pitt Meadows)
PRS (Surrey)
Action (Langley)
Pro-Ride (Vancouver)

and I'm sure there are others around that are good as well. All of the schools are tested & licenced at the same level (ICBC approved). Just find a school that has a schedule that is going to work for you & good on you for taking a course. It's the ONLY way to go!! :thumbup

I would highly recommend Pacific Riding School if you're planning on riding a sport bike. Yes, they used to be part of Action, but one of the reasons for the split (from my understanding) is the PRS crew was leaning heavily towards the sport bike crowd, being racers themselves. When I trained with Dat (back when he was with Action) I was given that hyper-alert attitude you need on a spot bike. I wouldn't take anything away from the new generation of Action though, I have a buddy who just went through the program with them and gave them rave reviews.
Good luck!

I took the course at PRS, and it was an excellent experience. I still apply many of the theories learned and still find myself using lots of their 'sayings' while riding. +1 for PRS.

Action and PRS Are not the same school

Action now is located in Langley, same action, same instructors. A previous owner of Action, now has his school located in Surrey in old Action location and its call Pacific Riding School. So PRS did not turn into Action, get it straight people......
As well, Action does not have a location in the Vancouver area at this time.

Both are good schools I hear!

I went to Action (the one in Langley) and I highly recommend them.

However I am gonna give an unbiased opinion... just go to whichever one that's closest to you. I think the local riding schools are like 600cc sport bikes - they are all very good and there's very little differences among them, so just pick whichever looks the best to you (in this case the closest to you).
