I've looked at the damn things for 2 days on the internet and spent 10 miinutes on one at F440 and I'm hooked.

I just wanted to let all of you know that I already hate each and every one of you for making this sport possible, and want to complain in advance for what will inevitably cost me a fortune.

Well, Billy at 5thGear for one. But in my case it took about 15 minutes. Guess I'm a hard case...

The first 8 or 10 minutes I was a bit intimidated by the bike. The riding position, the way it kept trying to point out cloud scenes and the early evening moon with it's front wheel, the vibration and all that wallowing in the suspension put me off at first. But he saw that I wasn't quite hooked and sent me out again. 1/2 way through the second session I was passing sportbikes in the turns at will and SCREAMING in my helmet "FAAAACK! ! ! ! ! I GOTTA GIT ME ONE O' DESE! ! ! ! ! !"



..... I've been trying unsuccessfully to find a Motards Anonymous help group ever since. But there doesn't seem to be any since they are all still hooked on mainlining the damn things.... :surrender

I will second the "Steve is a drug dealer" notion. at the toy run with his motard sittin against a tree, telling me how much fun I could be havin, and to come out and try it just once.....you motarded bastards are just trying to get me hooked to your drugs. They even try and cover up the drug with ride titles like "semi civilized", and "lotsa fun"

I went to the dark side for a while (street-ized XR650R with appropriate footwear). Unfortunately my daily commute is almost all higway, and the little bas'tards just don't do freeway duty well, so I traded to a KTM 950 Adventure.
But the sickness never leaves your blood - I've got some smaller, fatter wheels and ******* all lined up, so soon I'll have a big ol' monster tard.

Not sure what colour pill your buddy gave you but like Steve says, you may wanna try a different colour. Different pills give you different high's and once you find the one that suits you're trip, then it's just a matter of time before you need a full time dealer. Since 2002 I'v been taking only orange pills but just recently I have gonne and got me some light blue and yellow ones because in all honsety, I'm getting almost immune...
