I went to check out some bikes today and I was drooling over the new bikes, and with classes done and new job recently, I think it's time to get a new bike.

So, is it even possible to find / does anyone know if there is a brand new 05 in any store hiding in storage or am I better off aiming for an 06 and skip the running around? I prefer new but would like to save as much as possible (thus not aiming for 07s)

there's 04 Ducati 999 in RMS....$17000 something check it out!

lol that's not a good idea since you just finished your classes. don't go for litre bike yet. i want that high maintenance bitch 999 fucking bad

So you want a new but cheap bike? hmm i donno which category of bike you are talking about. supersport? standard? price range? please specify.

I assume you might want a supersport.

in 06, some of japanese manufactures have changed their 600 model. such as R6 and GSX-R600 while 636 and CRB600RR remains the same.

in 05.....

600RR has a facelift from 04
R6 has a facelift from 04
636 was new
GSX-R600 was same as 04

I hope the things above can help you thinking about which bike to get if there's still any 05 left.

If you want a 999, there is a low-miler '03 in the Province classifieds for 12500.

oops, I guess I forgot to mention that I'm looking for a 600 and full fairing supersport only just because my back can handle the strain :) . Any of those left Iceman_19?

and ducati is a nono, too flashy :laughing

I've been riding a 250 for 2 years, and I think it's time to move on. Shifting through 6 gears to reach 60kph is starting to get a bit annoying lol.

I got a brand new 05 R6 in May, from North Shore Suzuki. I think my bike was the last new 05 they had on the lot. But I browsed around a few other shops after I had bought mine and found there were a few new 05's still in the shops, but this was mid season.

why buy new. theres lots of bikes out there right now. even on this site check, them out. i bought new once, wont ever do it again. save your money.

+1 I agree. Too many bikes with the perfect story, as in: "Only 1000 kms. Decided riding wasn't for me. Now for sale... ". Happens every day. ;)
