A little late and only new to me.

I did a day trip to Edmonchuk and back in early March to pick this up ..... 2004 RSV1000R Factory. A grand thing about this year is that if you leave the battery disconnected too long, the odometer resets to zero. It reads 1900 km right now but going thru the records it is actually around 17,000 to 18,000 km.

Needed some cleanup and I refinished the carbon fiber. Came with a lot of maintenance records as well. The Ohlins were refurbished about 6000 km ago, upgraded Mofset reg/rect, Oberon clutch slave. Took it out for a spin and I had forgotten how firm and tight they are. Don’t really care for the Mivv exhausts and am sourcing some stock pipes.

The Rotax twins really are great engines. Nicola emphasizes regular oil changes, something about lazy oil supply on the alternator side if you are a lazy oil change person.

oooohh, very pretty!
and agreed about the exhaust. i don't even think it meshes with the rest of the lines of the bike; even to ignore the (probably annoying after a while) sound...

that's gonna be a lot of fun on the New Denver to Kalso this summer... which is pretty much your backyard now, isn't it?

Motivation for getting this? Long time lust? Great deal? Surprised you didn't get something newer.

Back yard is the perfect description for it. It makes for a chunk of a good half dayloop for me.
$2,800 - final offer.

Delivered of course.
I’ll think on it for a bit before I decide!

I’ve had two Tuonos in the past. I was on my RC when I first saw one of these at SBW ..... pure sex appeal! And it’s newer than my Blackbird so there’s that.

Are you down in the Nelson area now? If so we try to get there at least once a year with our Ducati buddies for the DucWC Mountain Rally. Hwy 31A is my favourite in BC. BTW: Nice Ape, a buddy just bought a 2019 Tuono V4. I like the twin sound better than the V4.

Yup, Nelson area. Did the loop today on the Blackbird. Kaslo-New Denver-Slocan-Castlegar-Creston-Kootenay Bay-Balfour. Excellent trip, beautiful weather. Not a huge fan of 31A .... it’s quite bumpy these days. From New Denver to Slocan though, I’d say that it rivals Hwy 20 in the Cascades. Fantastic asphalt, great corners, terrific scenery.

I met the Ducati Meccanica chap a couple of times. He moved from Alberta to north of Kaslo and has a slew of bevel drive bikes. Send a note if you’re in the area.
