What a load of bullshit.

I was totally against the first levy, and now this crap!!!

I believe in fair compensation... but this is rediculous.

I use blank media for a LOT of other activities than for storing music.

Examples:

CD-R(w)'s for back ups, archival of my programming projects, etc..

Removable Compact Flash in a digital camera and PDA.

Non removable flash is used in network devices like Cisco routers and ubr's.

Cassete's for voice recording and security camera recording.

WHY are recording artists getting money from these activities?? If you want to take it to another extreme (which I would never promote, but shows the irony), I develop software (and own the copyright to it), why do I not receive any money from any levy's for Developers?? Software pirating is just as rampant as music pirating.
