Just a quick note to say hello. I'm a new member. What I have seen of the site so far looks great. Nice to see something Canadian , better yet in B.C. I just bought a Ninja ZX6 from Spunky's in Parksville before Christmas. To date I have 450 kms on it. Quite a change from my 1977 Triumph Tiger. I am curious as to who else owns a ZX6 ( not the ZX6R )

I'd have to check but I think you might be our first Island member :)

That's quite a change going from a '77 Tiger to a ZX6. Your brain must still be reeling from the shock. Did you keep the Tiger?

I think you might also be our first ZX6 owner too. I've known a few people that had that bike and all have been overjoyed with it. Enough power for any SANE person and with sticky tires quite capable of cornering up to any prudent road pace. But the big score with that bike is that it make a superb sport touring bike. Add a couple of saddle bags to those comfy ergos and you've got a great holiday ride.

Check out the "BCBikes" on the top near the left of the page, you will see some pics of our members' bikes, while you're there maybe you want to upload some of yours to share.
Welcome to the site! :flip (<-- Standard BCSB welcome)

I think there may be onbe or two ZX6's in the group..

from 77 tiger to zx6

I was the original purchaser of the Triumph Tiger and yes I still have it. I finished the rebuild 2 summers ago. It sat idle for about 10 years . It only has 12,000 original miles on it. After spending all that money I realized it was a little slow so I decided to find something newer. My problem was that I am only 5' 2" tall and most sportbikes seat height is just a little too tall for me. However this bike fits just perfect. It's so dark purple that it looks black. The colour is just fabulous. There are 2 other guys that I ride with who both have ZX6R so we call ourselves the 3 Ninja's. They should be joining soon. I was looking at the calender and thought that it would be a great way to hook up with you guys once the snow stops.

Down below under the box you fill in your message on is a line called attach file. .bmp is one of the supported image file formats. Just click the browse button and go find the file and double click the file name and you're done.

You can also check the FAQ in the top right corner, it'll explain most things to you. BMP files are usually quite large, and maximum attachment size is set at 150k.
