My bike previously ran on semi-synth, but to store for the winter i bought the cheaper regular oil.
Is it going to make a difference if i keep running on regular oil? Just for everyday riding? I dont really need performance boosts, but i dont want to mess my bike up either.
The lady at my bike shop suggested i just stick with regular oil because it doesnt make much difference unless your racing.

IMO, the short answer is that the frequency of your oilchanges is more important than how much you pay. I'd still rather pay a few extra bucks and run something good.

She's right. In the long run its just gonna cost you more money by running synthetic....they say the measureable difference is very small for normal driving but if you are racing then it is recommended. Cars and bikes have been around a long time running the same if not better oil today.....but its all choice and bragging rights.:rockon It all goes down the same drain every 3000km anyways....

ps, you could have just left the old oil in there until spring....no real point in changing it unless you expect to ride in the winter or something....you new oil is just gonna sit in the crank case for 4 months anyways.
