...on a related topic....Does anybody have an outstanding ticket from 2000? One that hasn't been adjourned by you? If so, it's being cancelled. Just go to the courthouse on the front of the hearing date/ticket and tell them to "kill" it.:D

They haven't publicized this, but sometimes it helps having a copper for a brother-in-law.

Is this for tickets that were issued on the side of the road or for photo radar? I just paid one off yesterday...

It's for any ticket that was written in 2000 and has never been adjourned by the defendant (you) If it was adjourned by the Crown (piggies) that isn't your fault. The ruling is based on the Charter of Rights section that deals with bringing a case to court in a reasonable time frame. After all how can you be expected to defend yourself on a ticket that happened 18 months ago? How would you remember specific events and circumstances on one specified day when you ride that road all the time?

God sometimes I love our wishy washy system. If this was Singapore, they'd castrate you for speeding, and that's a first offence.:eek ...Not really:D
