I have to say that I had a lucky break with a cop on Saturday.
I was riding down 12th and around Granville with my g/f on the back when I decided to go through the solid yellow lines to the left turning lane. When I got in the turning lane I decided that it would be faster just to go straight so I cut through (lane crossing) with stopped cars at the red light and went into the far right lane. When the light went green I sped through and went in the left lane (because of the parked cars in the right lane). All of sudden the an uncover cop pulled me over. After asking me if I had any warrants, outstanding fines, etc ... He said since I have had a clean driving record since 2002 and he was getting off shift he would save me from a $400 fine with just a warning.
My lucky day ...

i dont think bikes should get tickets for cutting lanes or doing anything.
i think bikers should get pussy not tickets.

Crap, I wish that cop pulled me over Friday night, instead of the jerk who gave me a 121.00 fine and 2 points for an illegal left turn.

I think that he was also easy on me because I had my right turn signal on when cutting through the stopped cars ... of well, saved money and it was a good weather weekend.
