What boots do you guys roll in???

Those are really nice boots. I almost bought a set but ended up going with the Alpine stars cause they fit me better and felt more comfortable. Alpine stars and sidi are pretty much the top boots so you cant go wrong. Just make sure they fit you good and your all set.;)
Yeah I got those boots very nice, they are blue with the chrome on the sides. I got them from LAngley Yamaha for $300 worn a few times but they were like new. THey are comfortable and they sure beat wearing sneakers, all I need now is a leather suit.
Out of curiosity, if you guys just go out for a ride and are only wearing your leather jacket and some jeans, do you still wear your riding boots?

Often or most of the time I will. It doesn't take much of an accident to throw you out of your shoes if they aren't boots. That's the single most common observation at accident scenes involving cyclists of all types or pedestrians is that their shoes are left behind at the impact site or thrown some distance away from the victim. Even when people are in cars it's not an uncommon thing to have their legs jerk hard enough that their shoes are left behind.

I just wear my jeans over the upper cuff of the boot so it doesn't look dorky.

that makes sense.... just wear the boots as you would wear a "normal" boot... like as if you were going ot a wedding... not like you were on the track where your boots go over your suit...
Ya I would wear them cause I have seen some ground down ankle bones that just dont look pretty. Only time I will wear shoes is if I am going out to the mall or somthing or riding to work.

only if i go riding with you guys or another bunch of bikers but that's cause i didn't have leathers back then. and if im by myself say going to school or something i'll wear runners. those boots are pretty awkward to walk in

I have a pair of Sidi Vertebra Race which I bought in '98. Unfortunately I tested them out twice and believe me, they are superb boots. In both cases I low-sided and I slide with the weight of the bike on my boots. I suffered zero damage. I'm sure other high end boots are just as good but since I've "tested" the Sidi's, I'll definitedly buy another pair.

Let me know where you are getting your Chromos. I might want to replace mine if I can get a decent deal. I think new ones are close to $600 (?)

BTW, I can't believe some of you wear runners. Suffer one spill and you'll know what I mean. I wear full leathers, boots and gloves no matter where I ride or what the weather is like.
just wondering... since we were on the topic of Vertebras...
whats the big diff between the original Verts, n the Vert II's???
anyone know?
n also what does the Race Vertebra offer that the non-race ones dont?
other than replaceable colour matching carbon parts. :rolleyes
According to the www.motonation.com website:

A replaceable bolt on plastic shin plate. Optional panels are available in chrome and carbon fiber.
The Vertebra 2 is the only race boot to offer and adjustable calf system designed to accommodate calves of virtually any size in a clean, supportive and protective design.
The toe shift pad has been redesigned to eliminate pressure points when walking.
The front of the Vertebra 2 features a new-cleaner design to set it apart from the market copycats.

Those are the differences between the 1 & the 2.

I always ride with boots! I feel they are as important as a helmet, and wear them to the mall, work, or whatever. If i need to, I just bring a change of shoes in my tank bag. My boots are all black, with not too much fancy plastic stuff sticking out so they look fine under my jeans, unless you really look
Ya I'm with bluestone, I'd rather wear them then not. Mine are black as well and hardly noticible under my jeans.
