Cmon Nicky, show us how incapable of winning you are. Nicky cannot win the championship because he is not a winner. I don't give a shit about consistency, I want to see someone win who is better than everyone else. Nicky isn't, Rossi has showed that he is. Even Pedrosa, Melandri or Capirossi are more deserving than perennial #2 Nicky.

The two races Nicky has won have been a track he was conceived, born and lost his virginity on, and another where Edwards decided to shit himself on the very last corner. The boy is not a winner and should not win the championship.

i agree, mostly ,good on him for getting that close and its huge to have the points lead at any time .Hes stil a baby in GP and hes made HUGE leaps ,as far as deserving the championship by not actually winning a lot of races is up for debate .Consistancy is what lets you win by points ,If he wins the last two races then he deserves it .BUt its not as exiting to watch the guy end up in the top 5 win the championship ,but thats the way the points are handed out .

seems to me he's falling apart lately and rossi is just more seasoned on how to pull it out of the bag under pressure .be col to see him win it all,i just see a DNF in his future

I personally dont think hell win and used to be a big fan of his in AMA ,and in his early GP ,but now when he podiums or wins he still has little digs and tiny complaints as to how much better he can be .You can say that to yourself and yur team ,but when yu are on TV ,try and be a bit more diplomatic to your team and thier effort..

Are you kidding? Why cheer for Little Nicky, because he rides a honda? He's american??? I sure hope not. I wanna see Rossi return to form.

it would be good for racing if hayden wins,,bring more PUB to racing in general if a local hero pulls it off.The fact that hes AMERICAN and not cheering for him becasue of that is pretty lame .You'll never get the chance to cheer for a canadian so take the next option at least .

id rather see rossi win and put him in his place ,it wiull be proof rossi is the best after having a 40+ deficit with a few races left .Hes down to 12 now i think .It also helps when 2nd in the championship finishes 8th ,and no one other than HAYDEN is really consitant .at least give him that .HEs like YATES ,perenial top 5

If Hayden wins, they should reconsider the amount of points given out for each placing. Maybe a win should be given an extra 5 points over what they have now.

I think Rossi deserves to have the point lead right now because he has way more wins than anybody else.

consistancy should get yu second place .

first should go to the guy who finished first the most .

Riiiiiiiiiiight. . .

He's won a two different tracks this year, and has done very well for most of the season. I'm rooting for ya Nick! His poor form of late has been a clutch problem, as admitted by HRC. So what's with all the hate?

And what? No Rossi bashing for his passing under a yellow? That would have given Hayden a HUGE points advantage instead of him getting bunged up by Sete after changing his race stratagy.

id like to see him win ,but its boring to watch a guy win 2 races and win a championship ,,its more of a war of attrition .

so he passed under yellow ,hayden was beaten on the track regardless ,the yellow pass was no real consequence .Dont let the guy win on a technicality.Let him win at the flag (how sappy is that )

Hayden deserves to win this championship. He worked his butt off and, barring mechanical difficulties, has been the most consistent rider out there.

Here is to optimism:

hes worked his butt off to get where he is ,,no question .

I'll cheer for him to win ,just wish it was more to do with winning races ,then having other people not be as consistant

Aside from Rossi's mechanical problems with his bike he's been far more successful. If you're going to point out the clutch problem, then point out Rossi's season long difficulty with the chatter problem under traction.

Plus, tell me waht GP rider didn't work his butt off? Pedrosa, Capirossi or Rossi riding with pretty serious injuries?

I will be SOOOO happy when Rossi takes the championship, and rubs Hayden's nose it for being the #1 LOSER.

Gawd, I can't stand that Kentucky retard...

As 2xBlown has said, there are LOTS of hard-working contenders, and some that have been injured, and are now back even stronger - Rossi, Melandri, Pedrosa, Capirossi - even Giberneau all get far more respect from me than Glam-boy...

Go back to the farm Nicky, I think the barns need to be shoveled out...

The difference in our postings are that you guys are bashing a talented rider who's having a successful season. I'm mearly pointing out that he has talent and has been successful. If he wins the next two races, he'd only be one win down on Rossi for the year. Does that then make a big difference to your thinking? Even if he did take 2nd in the championship, that's still an awesome accomplishment.

Any who, I'm off of this subject. Go Nick!

If Hayden can't do it, I hope he loses to Rossi. I'm personally rooting for Hayden, he's never really had the full support of HRC what with his different riding style and the put down's he's had to endure as being portrayed as a country hick. I guess I can understand the no team orders as Pedrosa has a slight chance and he's the up and coming golden boy, but why can't they fix Hayden's clutch? Hayden may not have the total package or the absolute natural ability of Rossi, but you can't fault his attitude or how hard he tries. Unfortunately clutch problems not withstanding he's rather dropped the ball with the last half of the season with those bad results.

No, I really don't think so. In the minds of you and me (amateur riders) it may seem like an amazing accomplishment, but these guys are the pros - not just pros, but the cream of the crop - the best of the best. They don't get paid big $$ to come in second. They get paid to win. With the deep pockets and resources from HRC, they are EXPECTED to win.

I can agree that the clutch issue is a bit of a problem, but hey - if HRC can't figure it out, they deserve to lose the title. It's a 'team effort', right?

My 2 cents.
