I went to RMS today to see if I vould get a 2001 red/black cbr 929 for $10,500 otd but I was ready to pay up to $11,000 OTD but it didn't happen. The salesman said that all the 929 they have sold are for the same price. He even said he could show me sales invoices. The dude wanted to sell me a 2001 929 for $13,275 otd, and they got two new 954rr sitting there. Sales dude even said they sold the cbr 929rr at tradex show for 13,000 otd but we know DKnite paid 10,500 otd. Well we were about $2500 in difference so I decided to walk, even told him I had cash and ready to buy. Well lets see what happens at Carter, or I'll buy some older bike for cheap in the buysell. I am just pissed cause I want a damn bike, look at the weather, I seen so many bikes today when I was in my cage.:(

I'd recommend you PM bugs, he has 'connections'. No bull - all sell.

And I don't think dknite got it for 10,500 OTD.. maybe 10,500 plus taxes.. shit - I bought MY bike for 10,500 plus taxes..

go to carter honda, talk to dave forward (salesman)

Tell him Jonathan sent you, I know dave through his brother clint.

If he asks which jonathan just tell him clints coworker.

He hooked me up with great deals before and loves to have people reffered to him for "hookups"

Thanks Jonathan for the info, but I talked with bugs (a board member) and he works at Carter too and I'll see what happens.

When i put plates on and come for a group ride remind me to bring my invoice and i will show you exactly what i paid;) (You gotta remember i bought mine at a TRADE SHOW, where there are SOOO many vendors that in order to get the sales they were giving stuff away at UNBELEIVABLE prices,.. i mean when you have 200 competitors all trying to sell you something everyone is VERY negotiable, especially when you can pay cash, when you finance i think they don't get the hole wad right away, its paid in installments or something so i had lots of room to work with.)

Anyway Manny, i happened accross a '00 929 for $9600 plus taxes,.. but no PDI its slightly used, but comes with a warrenty and the works.. its at Super Sport Motorworks in Langley give em a call 604-532-0505 and you might be able to get that one for $10,000 all in
Ya, I also went to RMS looking for my 2002 ZX-6R and damn, they wanted 2000$ more for the same bike than BK, so I asked them what was up with that and the salesman says, "That is impossible", then he wants to see an invoice quote. I ask Trevor from BK if I can bring a quote invoice, Trevor says no. I said Ok. But Man I found RMS to be expensive!
i think the guys at rms are a bunch of pricks...

my friend had a 98 gsxr600 that he wanted to trade in for a 2001 zx6r last year(blue).

we were in 2 wks before and they were giving him $7000 for his bike. we come back 2 wks later and they got a hold of daytona's old stock...a 2000 zx6r in red, the color he wanted. now they're only giving him $4000 for his bike? $3000 drop in price over 2 wks? we called them from burnaby kawi and they were also giving him $7000 for the gixxer, and let them know that, but they still didnt want our sale? wtf?
the red 6r was a year older even, but still brand new, and nope, they wouldnt budge.
i would NEVER buy anything from them again...ever.
I am trying to find the scribble the RMS gave me on the 929RR OTD... It was about $12,500 on the RED/BLack and I think $13,500 on the Erion.
How much are they selling the 2001 RC51 for? I just have to know. errrrrrrr.

i said the same thing myself but a couple months ago dear old mom bought me a $200 gift certificate for rms on my birthday and i'm still trying to bring myself in there...i wish she hadn't given business to them:(

Something has to pay for their overhead. Look at all their stock and selection. Good indication that nothing is going to be cheep. Great place to window shop, but definately not to buy.:tredmill
