I am still reeling with the news that my long time friend who I grew up with and have many memories with is gone. Some of the Kelowna area riders may know of the accident on hwy 33 that claimed my friend on saturday oct 14. His name is Roland Loewen, his bcsb name was rolin919, and I'm not sure what I expect from this thread. It's just posted in his memory.

Scout out all the good road in heaven buddy, I really miss you and we will meet again.

RIP Roland. My heart goes out to your family and friends.
I am sorry to hear about your loss, Geoff.
It's some of the worst news you can hear and nothing you can prepare for.

I know he would have appreciated you starting a thread for him.

PM me if you want to talk. It's been 8 months for me.

RIP Rider.

RIP Roland and my heart goes out to you and his family. PM me if you want to talk to someone who recently went through this also. Lifelong friends ARE family.
R.I.P. rider....thoughts and prayers with the family

RIP rider
:( RIP Rider... and sincere condolances to you (Geoff) and the rider's family. Many of us have been in your shoes and know -too well- of the horrible aftermath of loss.

I might suggest you talk about this with friends & family when you feel ready to do so, and as often as you need to. While it doesn't 'change' anything, it's a first step to working through your collective grief. Don't let anyone "go it alone". ;)

My best thoughts are with yas...
