hey
now that its getting colder at night i noticed a little problem and im not entirely sure if its me or not.
any guys out there who wear glasses under their full face, have you noticed fog and condensation building up on the outside of your lenses?
i had to ride home tonight with my visor cracked just to be able to see, was very cold.
anyone out there figure out a fix for this?
i have noticed my visor doesnt sit real nice on the rubber gasget around the face so i get wind through the visor. this is probably the cause but i was wondering if any other riders have had this.

Haven't really experienced it, my helmet has a vent right around the chin area that keeps everything unfogged when I'm moving. I have to open the visor when I stop, but that's pretty normal no matter what the temps are.

Have had similar issues ( I wear glasses) and yes, i find it only in the cold. I haven't been able to find a solution for it. (Aside from riding with the visor open a little, and my face freezing)

My Shoei RF-1000 only fogs up a tiny bit if it's cold out and I am not moving. The moment I am on the go again, the fog instantly clears up even if the chin vent is closed.

Laser eye surgery would be the shizzle, I'll get it one of these years. I had a buddy who did it, I think it cost a bit over a grand to get it done and then a couple hundred in extras and checkups and such. It was somewhere around $1500 all said and done if I recall correctly.

i just leave my visor open a little (not the tight seal), and don't fog until stopping at a light. once moving, the fog disappears. you can also buy anti-fog spray for your glasses. not sure how well it works though.

On a cold day just crack the visor but in the fog then condensation builds on the visor. If you open the visor then it builds on your glasses.

Happened to me this morning and I had to stop and wipe my lenses and visor. That's when it gets dangerous.

fog/condensation on the outside of the visor is no big deal when you've got rain gloves with the wiper built on to the finger/thumb

I wear glasses and have a Shoei RF-1000. Fogging up this time of year or in the rain is a huge problem for me in town. I used to run with the visor cracked open, but at highway speeds it ads noise, cold, and my glasses get rain on them. Some folks suggest a breath guard, but that just caused my glasses to fog up.

I have found the Fog City Shield to be very helpful here. I use it exclusively this time of year rain or shine due to my early rides to work.

I got mine at Western Powersports. They do add some glare at night, but nothing that bothers me. I do suggest that a separate visor be kept for summer use.

+1 on the Foggy mask, it also keeps your face slightly warmer. Picked mine up from Imperial.

Fog City works great, the breath guard works ok, but sometimes it blocks your breathing. When it was relly cold, and rainy, I used to use a snorkle to keep my breath out of the helmet completely. It worked really good.
