hey, im putting a bike together possibley for the track. might even sell it but my question is, are most rims interchangable for honda sportbikes. im putting together an 04 cbr 600rr and i have everything except subrame and rear rim. can i use a later model F3 or F4 rim. might make it easier to find parts instead of waiting for a single rim to pop up. thanks.

no but you can use any RR rim, the F4/F4i use a smaller axle/bearing set-up than the RR

Keep in mind the rim width..the 1000rr rear is 6" and 600rr is only 5.5"

i might just do that. just wanted to know if it was possible to swap if i found a good deal. i'll give u a call... lots of rims but no oilpans, haha. just kidding

If you go 100RR, not that I recommend it because it will change the way the bike handles, but if you do make sure you get the spacers, or better yet, get everything that goes between the swingarm just to make sure that you have all the right clearances....

If it were me, I would just go to Turbosonoma (Brad/ Chop Shop Cycle) and get the right stuff, I know he had at least 2 600RR there last time I was out that way........

yeah it's me. no worries, odds are i was going to use a 600rr rim, im in no rush just wanted to know what other options i had if i couldnt get a rim.thanks for the help guys. i will give brad a call. i wouldnt do anything with out doing my homework first...thanks again
