Just watched " Road" on Netflix ...Blew me away ! Didn't know the Dunlop story ... Tragic and inspirational.Wanted to share ... Apparently came out last year.Cheers
I'll have to watch it this weekend, there is another one I watched with guy martin john mcguiness and a few others there is a thread kicking around with a link to it I'll bump it if I can find it
finally got around to watching this last night on netflix... bloody good documentary! The quote at the start is friggin awesome!
the man hunched over his motorcycle can only focus on the present
he is outside of time
he is in a state of ecstacy
he has no fear
because the source of fear is in the future and a person freed of the future
has nothing to fear
and heres the original quote after some googling:
"…the man hunched over his motorcycle can focus only on the present instant of his flight;he is caught in a fragment of time cut off from both the past and the future;he is wrenched from continuity of time…so he has no fear, because the source of fear is the future, and a person freed from the future has nothing to fear."

Fuck did not realize he died because of a lean seize. A whole life for the wrong main jet. Sad. I seized my RZ350 like that on the onramp to highway 1 back in the 90's. Totaled the bike. Lesson: can't read plugs under a streetlight at 3 AM.
Joey's been my hero for years, and although I was already familiar with the family's story, 'Road' showed and told me so much more that I'd never known before. Michael's NW200 victory right after losing his dad never fails to bring a tear to my eye. It was one of the most emotional and inspiring sports moments ever, in my opinion.

Love this quote .... Totally epitomizes us riders?
