all availible in high res if needed. I just picked out the best ones. Most others didnt turn out well.
Thanks for being out there. I did many a day in the corners, and I'm glad to have others there so that I can enjoy racing on the track. :rockonthe endurance race was harder on the corner workers....
I was only lying down for 1 minute! Sheeeeesh! 4 hours is a long race to stand up. The racer's were doing an amazing job.the endurance race was harder on the corner workers....
Im just using a Canon A95 5.0mp. Noting special. I was trying some of the custom settings. Im still a newb. I will figure it out and Im sure to get some better shots from this camera until I can afford a DSLR.if your using a dslr...practice your panningit takes a bit to figure out and a lot to master, i'm still figuring it out :d keep shooting
if your just using point and shoot get a dslr, lol!
I've done lots of action shots with my A75 with good success. The key is to prefocus on something in the right area by pushing the button half way down so it beeps and shows a little green rectangle. Then pan up track, catch the bike in the finder or screen and pan smoothly with them and push the button the rest of the way at the right pre-focus point while maintaining the "flow" of your body. You'll find that it's smoother if you hold your arms steady and rotate at the waist in a smooth consistent manner. And be sure to maintain the pan well past the click point.Im just using a Canon A95 5.0mp. Noting special. I was trying some of the custom settings. Im still a newb. Of course these rules of panning for action shots apply to every camera. The prefocus trick is just what works on the P&S and many of the pro-sumer jobbies. Done well you can get equally good results as the DSLR camers can.
PS: that's one of my team mates Frank Brown on good ol' Patches #111
