Some of us, for various reasons, have put away the bikes for the season and I was wondering how many of you would be interested in a sports car loop drive. Here are the details (post up if you're going to join us):

Meeting place: Tim Horton's, Sumas Hwy near Costco

Meeting time: 8:00 a.m. and leave at 8:30 a.m. sharp

Route: Hope-Princeton-Merritt-Spences Bridge and return

Who: Anyone with a car who likes to drive it (all are welcome). If you don't want to drive but just want to tag along for the day I'm sure that we can accommodate that. I have room for 3 more!! :thumbup

This is NOT a race... this is a friendly "group" drive on some great roads in BC. Come and take in the beautiful fall colours. We'll stop at the usual places to gas up & make sure everyone is together.

If you have any ideas for this drive, post up.

good idea nancy - not a lot of people keep in touch in the off season and i noticed a lot more off season activities being posted up lately. skiing, driving, hockey, other winter sports. i've met a lot of great people on here that i wouldn't want to just limit to socializing with for only a few months of the year. i won't be able to make it but wish i could to see some of the cars that come out. i'm looking at buying another car to 'pimp out' as a winter project. but that'll have to wait until after i buy a car for the business i'm starting...holey crap i have a lot of shopping to do lol. have a good drive and... in the spirit of giving safe-wishes on any outings...BUCKLE UP!

Nancy, if the weather stays good, I may catch up to you somewhere along the route and probably join you for lunch... on my bike. I'll watch this thread and keep an eye on the weather too!

What cars are you guys planning on bringin? As in, what are the "sports" cars?

I dont want to bring something too fast, or too slow if I can make it.

Don't worry about the pace, or the need to keep up - drive your own drive :laughing .

If Greenboy makes it, he'll have his Suzuki Swift - but be warned, it is one hell of a fast Swift and dude can drive!

"Drive your own drive" :roflmao :roflmao :roflmao

That's the way it will be. Bring what you have... it's just an excuse to drive :)

Glad to hear that there's some interest in this.

It will be the birth of the "BCSB driver's club".

All newbies welcome!!

it's mighty tempting to bring my Rx7 out,.. but that's a little further than I want to go... it'll cost me over 100 in fuel, that's a damper for me... if furious fiero posts up a local "tim hortons drive", I'll be in for that I might go as far as hope on this

Its in the works. I will post up very soon. It will pretty much be a Cypress evening drive.

My Protege 5 isn't exactly a "sports car", but it could use an outing! I should be able to make it, and this one I'll be able to bring my better half along on.
