If I'm bring in my bike to a shop for spring tune up, what should I expect the shop to do/change ? Will they sync the carb for me or will I have to ask for that ?

It sounds like carb synching if it happens in summer and winter. Your bike should idle without wavering with the choke off.

what is carb syncing?
can a newbie such as myself do it ?
I would not reconmend doing it yourself unless you have a friend that is mechanically inclined to give you a hand

doh.
i guess i'll look around the net and see what's inolved.
im just curious what this means.

carb sync, carb rebuild i hear that a lot, i have no clue what they mean tho :)
i just looked at the work shop manual for the kat, there's a section for "Carburetor reassembly and float height adjustment".
I dont even know what it means. I'm lacking in basic knowledge - that's my problem..
