Ride For Doug is an annual fundraiser ride for Muscular Dystrophy. Over the first 11 years, we’ve raised almost a quarter million dollars for Muscular Dystrophy Canada. This is in addition to the $13,000 raised to put a stair lift in Doug's house.

Those of you who have ridden with us before know that this isn't about the numbers. Doug is a 15 1/2 year old car/bike guy. He wants a ride with his buddies that he can look back on for support when things get tough. That's what this is about. It's a Ride WITH Doug.

This year, Doug got his first power chair. It is opening up options for him, and giving him some of the freedoms he's never had a chance to experience before. Simple things like going for a walk to the A&W with his friends. We do not have a vehicle capable of carrying this 400lb chair around with us. So his chair use is limited places he can get to from home. Add to the fact that Doug will be driving this year,we need to provide him with a vehicle with 2 kinds of modifications. One to get his chair in, the second to allow him to operate the vehicle with his own personal limitations. This is not cheap. 2018 Ride For Doug is aiming to raise $25,000 towards the modifications required.

The ride takes the approach of "Sportbike roads, at a cruiser pace". We take a 200km route through some of the finest motorcycling roads in Langley, Abbotsford, and Mission. We end up at a BBQ dinner to celebrate the ride, and win some door prizes.
