I'm thinking of swapping out the forks on my F4i for a 954 front end. Is the wheel / brakes etc on the F4i compatable with the 954 forks? Are the only things i need to change the forks/triples? Thanks

cuz the f4/f4i have toothpicks for forks and sponges for brakes .

use the 954 /929 calipers they are much better ,but the f4i ones will fit ,so will gsxr 01-02 1000 6 pistons,wheel is not compatible ,get the rotors for 929 they are bigger than f4i anyway .

ask any stunt guy with f4i ,they've pretty much all done that swap .

5th gear has done that swap many times ,give them a shout ,check ebay for the forks ,triples and brakes .Do that swap with some braided lines and wave rotors and you'll have a crazy front end for next year

That's the problem,finding a complete front end. Every stunter with an F4i ( the weapon of choice ) wants that swap. Next problem is getting a spare front rim. I think the R1 will fit with a stem or bearing swap.

hey, what about doing a 600rr swap. i did with a 03 600rr and it makes a difference in handling and definitely in looks.

you will need: triples, clip ons, forks, brakes, fender, and maybe a cylinder lock.

it was all used stuff except for the pvm brackets ,dont bother going that far its not needed now that there is so many radial forks you can use (i did it pre honda radial upside down forks ) . and i was told the rc51 showa forks were some of the best honda made

it was prob about $1200 buks total ,in retail maybe $3-4 gs if they were all new ,,,new isnt any better other than you have a box to throw away.lol







get the 1000rr forks ,brembo or wave rotors ,,r1 calipers ( 1 piece brembo made and bolt on to any current japanese radial bikes ) and master (also brembo made) .

keep in mind the rotor size you use to have the calipers meet the rotor in the correct place .

maybe about 900-1200 buks ,youll need the 1000rr wheel . then spnd the money on getting the internals figured out

the forks are also diff lenghts than f4i so make sure to measure and get the forks sitting in the correct ride hieght .

or buy some ohlins

took it out to Boundray bay a few times .one finger brakes the whole time .

the bike wasnt 100% id love to have another shot at the same concept
