Has anyone used these and how do they compare to others?

After reading the back protector poll I'm looking to stop wearing just built-in CE pads. This one's being sold for less than half the price of others and barely more than what a pad costs so seems like a wicked deal if it's up to par. No shoulder straps & the plates aren't extremely wide but neither am I.

I bought mine 4 plus years ago and I've crashed wearing mine 3 times and it worked fine but it needs a over the shoulder strap to be sewn in to make it better.
