So I was thumbing through RPM mag and saw an ad for:
Shield, from Dupli-Color, provides temporary spray-on protection for your vehicle where bugs and road grime can do damage.

I know a lot of people are going for the flat black look and this might be a good idea if you want to see what you bike looks like in flat black (more like graphite).
I can think of a couple of things this would be good for, frame painting, black lowers to protect against dirt too. The nice thing is that if you don't like it you just wash it off with soap.
You could also paint your bike with this and if you get chased by the po po wash her off to her stock color.

Thoughts? I wouldn't mind trying it if I could find it locally.

I think you'll find that it's quite soft and would not be good for areas that are rubbed.

I always thought that spray-on paint safe fake mud for 4WD guys that don't want to risk their shiny bling'mobile would be a marketing coup. I can just see the legions of spinner wheeled low profile Escalades with decoriously applied mud parked outside the Starbucks now....
just buy a shield that is tinted!!! spray and wash??? WTF

Clever editing by me and all of a sudden Bruce's posts are dirty!

Is it safe spray it on your body? Squids could use it instead of leathers, plus they wouldn't have to shower as much. Hmmm... I'm getting an idea for a halloween costume. :thumbup
I just duct tape a garbage bag to the front of my bike.

What a fan-diddly-tastic magazine ;)

The mag was a freebee. My co-worker got 2 copies when at tire trends.
I know... they're all free. Wholly advertiser supported.
For any of you guys interested in this stuff I just got a can at Crappy tire on Kingsway and Vic. They should have about 5 cans left. I'll let you know how it works.

Cheers
