Wow.........my first and probably last mistake was at 29 seconds in.......looks like the road goes straight into the darkness........but it veers to the right.
There was also a very interesting trauma response video after this video........
cant remember who said it in what documentary but you really are riding this race along with death sitting there on your shoulder just waiting for a mess up
I think the audio in this clip captures so perfectly John's ability to get on the power so early and so hard when exiting a corner. Sheer magic, this man.
The great thing about the TT is that entrants don't have a massive amount of time each year on the track... so it takes some time to really burn into your memory the track... and then
of course, pavement changes each year.
You are talking about a 60km long racetrack that takes over 17 minutes to lap.... compare to say Phillip Island GP which is about 1:30. If you have a few practice runs each year and then
a race, how many laps are you actually getting in before you race?
There's just so many factors at play... it's the greatest motorcycle race on the planet. Interestingly enough, the somewhat equivalent on the car circuit, the Targa Florio has long been
shut down over it's craziness and fatalities.
yes and from what my grandfather told me yrs ago , its 70 kms for 1 lap craaaaaazy
he use to go in the 50s when he lived in italy
