So iwas out earlier, and thinking about how riding the rain forces you to ride more smoothly and conrolled, and be more aware of the cagers around you. Kind of the things we should be when it's dry and sunny outside. I've noticed since it's been raining, i'm using my mirrors a WHOLE lot more to check traffic behind me, especially when it comes to stopping at lights etc. I didn't realise how much i didn't do it until recently. For all you people who are fair weather only, my challenge to you is to go riding when it's POURING out there and see what you can learn about riding in the dry :)

It's crazy how, in the rain, you can actually see the gas that collects on the road, and where it pools up.

No6 in richmond is sooo bad for that - there's rainbow puddle literally ever 2-3 metres. Loads of trucks etc ....
i just rode down 152st, and hwy 10 about an hour ago, and it was the same. it's nice to see where to avoid, though

yeah riding in the rain makes you a better water because you do have to fight off so many distractions water on your helmet fogging up and the fact that you are wet and the road is wet.

I got these stick ons for the inside of the visor at Richmond Motorsports. Hasn't fogged up yet, even in the rain. I can now leave my visor down all the time when riding in the rain, and stay a lot drier.

yeh well its the 45 minutes before they warm up thats the problem. dont get me wrong, real nice tires work great in the rain in the spring and summer.

All i know is, no more winter rain riding, till i get a stunt cage that is :) :) :)

Just got back about half hour ago 10:30 pm. Have been riding/playing in the rain since 1pm today.

I love the rain (ever since I learned how to), especially going down highway 99 when all you can see are rain droplets spraying rushing pass your headlight.

Pirelli tires seems to stick excellently even in rain. :rockon

Great fun!!

here's some thoughts. people have been riding in the rain for decades. if you're smart you'll buy a car. no one likes a moldy smelling person at work no matter how tough you think you are riding a motorcycle in the rain.

Damn right. I never look at people riding in the rain as "hardcore" or "true bikers."
I think two things:
1. Person is too stupid to drive a car.
2. Person is too poor to own a car.

fok i need another beer. fuk riding in the rain:devillook
:lolup damn, looks like the sleemans race team was practicing last night. but seriously, living in B.C, especially the lwr mainland, i think we all should feel comfortable riding in the rain. i'd prefer not to ride in it, but if i'm out and its starts to rain, its no big deal. we as riders should learn to adapt to diff riding conditions, i draw the line at snow.:)

What's with the attacks?
You don't want to, fine.
We do, fine.
No one's saying you're too wimpy because you don't.
