Down boys, get DOWN!

This sunday is the last Pac Coast Mini Road Racing event. Nothing over 200cc allowed. No full size stuff allowed at all.

However if you're interested in trying it out bring out your gear at lunch and get a loaner from someone and see what it's all about. It's got to be race worthy gear and you need to sign a waiver and convince somebody to loan you a bike but that ain't hard since we are trying to hook more folks on this smaller sized addiction... :D

I would be more than interested, and I can guarantee several others would be as well, if the day were opened up for a slightly larger displacement class....

What would it take for this to occur? How many entrees/$ would be required to share the track time?

Ain't gonna happen. At least not THIS year. The Pac Coast club's insurance for the event specifically calls for the sizes in it and since it's that club that is hosting the event I'm afraid the big stuff has to go elsewhere or stay at home.

Tearing of the last 5 aint gonna cut it either. The motard wheels themselves are taller than any of the mini bikes in total and people will notice shit like that.... :D

But you know what? If you could ride one of the mini motards I think you'd be frickin' impressed. The YZ85 set up for this style of riding really can rip. Not quite the arm wrenching pull of a big 'tard but enough to realize that a 2nd or even 3rd gear wheelie is only a slight bar tug away when at full throttle.

Just curious - did you guys ever race up at Willowbrook mall parking lot? I used to see mini races going on sunday afternoons all the time when I used to live down there and I really had no clue what was going on. If it was, then why dont you race there anymore? It sure gets a lot more attention and viewing from the public eye, and the course didnt look bad either.

I think that was them. But Willowbrook cut off the racing for whatever reason I believe. But that was before my mini racing time.

Darrin, the bike will be available at noon and for a while after the racing. I'll be there at roughly 8 am. Or is she wanting to actually RACE? If so then we can work something out by running her in one of the classes that I don't ride in.

Hmmm, I didn't realize that it was races all day, I still had F440 on the mind with just an open course. I think we're going to pass this time. I know once she gets out at F440 I'm never going to get time on the DRZ again! :thumbup

;D
