just an fyi :)

in case you're planning a trip in BC http://mybc.com maps& directions section is extremely helpful.

if you're going outside of bc, there's http://www.freetrip.com

if you look in the "GreatRoads" above, the trip & map were created in Microsoft Street & Trips 2002.. but that's probably gonna cost you some money.

any other suggestions?

There's a great book (which Bruce owns I believe) and can be picked up at your local Motorcycle store called, "Destination Highways BC". I've had a quick flip through it and it's awesome for planning out a route.

isn't there a website called Destination Highways BC with a bunch of online vids you can download and see a guy on a zx9r doing the routes?? I'll have to check my bookmarks when I get home for it.

Could be but they must just be teasers. They make their money from selling the book. And a very nice book it is. You could go for a week through the interior and Rockies and never see the same road twice and never have to get onto the #1. You would have spent so much time turning you'd feel like a windshield wiper :D

Here is the link for ya

http://www.destinationhighways.com/

bottom left has links to all the nice highways, and with quite big real video clips you can watch as a guy on a bike rides through them :) it's pretty sweet. They have ratings and reports on the roads as well.

I've got that book, as do a few others on this site i think, and i've already got a few little trips planned! If anyone wants to photocopy any of it or has any questions about routes, road quality, traffic, etc. let me know.
And you can bet I'll be posting ALL the trips I'm gonna take!
