We had a great turn out during our last Maintenance 101 course with Bernie, the PRS Mechanic. check this out http://www.bcsportbikes.com/forum/showthread.php?t=65807

Now we are going to have our Maintenance 201

Date: Thursday June 8th 7pm at Imperial Motorcycles

Things will be covered:

Full Oil Change
Full electrical breakdown
complete carburation how/why
complete engine structure and function, from transmission and clutch to cylinder head and valve train
front suspension breakdown, and suspension adjustment
anything on brakes that we didn't cover in 101
trust me, that will take 3 hours!
As before, anything that takes the interest of the students can be dicussed.

The profile of our instructor Bernie Ryan:

Teaching this course for 5 years
23 years riding
Licensed Mechanic for 12 years
Involved in racing for 18 years

The course will be $30 for UBC Motorcycling Club Members and $40 for non-members. Membership is $5 for UBC Students and $6 for non-UBC students. So you will save $4 by joining the club.

If you are interested, please contact Jacky at 604-7819616 or email [email protected] for class availability

If you want to take 101, the most basic maintenance course, check this out

Damn, the date doesn't work for me. :( Is this event 'all watch' or hands on?
it's quite hands on. We learned quite a bit from Bernie last time. If you know some basic maintenance already, this will be a great course for you.

don't worry, we will have it again sometime in the summer
