I just bought a used 2000 or 2001 Arai Signet-GT Kurtis Replica helmet for $375 (CAN, of course)...it had no scratches on the visor, but there are some small paint chips scattered in a small spot...barely noticeably.

Do you think I got a good deal? He offered $420 originally, but I got him down. Also, I saw the helmet on the 2001 Arai helmet line and was wondering if they used the same design for the 2000 model...the guy apparently didn't know whether it was a 2000 or 2001...it has the Snell M2000 rating inside...

Thanks for your help and time!

do you know the person you bought it off?

how do you get paint chips on the helmet if you don't drop it?

you got a good deal. .Just make sure his head was not in the helmet when he dropped it...that makes the most damage to the internal structure of the helmet..

what color was it?

That is a good deal.

Don't worry about the small paint chips. If you ride on the highway much, you will accumulate small chips from being hit by pebbles.
