A friend and I were riding up Cypress on Tuesday night. On the way down we pulled into the lookout area and saw 3 small deer walk up to the road, cross it and then walk up the hill and eat grass for awhile. There were a few other bikes flying by and it made me realize just how fast people go around that corner. Please people be careful up there especially when it gets dark!

they've always been something to watch out for up there ESPECIALLY at night. my last night ride with Kawi96 (Stacey) we were up there and a deer decided to wait for her just around the bend at the lookout. she even parked her bike and tried to shoo it away. the silly animal was fearless!! just stood there and looked at her like she was some alien or something. so we kept on whipping around that corner and it didn't move until a truck came flying down and almost turned it into road kill. watch out for those bike-fearless deer!

I had friend go for a ride on Cypress on Monday. Deer came across, she braked hard, did a stoppie, the bike kicked her off, and the day of riding was ruined. She is 100% ok though so thats good.

I think it is safe to say that Cypress is done this season! I was up on Seymour on Sunday and I did not see one deer. Maybe i was lucky.

We were up at Manning Park and the deer walk through your campsite, anyway the park warden says you get a $500 find for feeding them because when you STOP feeding them they get agressive. So we go back and a big one comes cruising through our campsite, so we're worried and sort of hiding. Anyway the thing takes off and we're talking to the guy in the next campsite and he tell us that.. last year he was feeding one and sure enough when he stopped the (#(*$*$#( deer stood up on his hind legs and tried to wack him with his hooves. (this is how they hurt you, the edge of their hoovees are razor sharp) It scared the lving crap out of him. Basic story is stay away from Bambi, she may look nice but she has a bad streak.

Deer are very common up on Cypress. Its been known for a while.

One time I was up there with Tony and some guys, we say a deer near the lookout turn...and chased it and got it on video camera. Ya I know, sounds stupid but it was really fun. I wonder if I still have that video....
you have tons of videos from our rides that I haven't seen:2guns :D :flip

I still have them. For some reason they wont upload on my computer. It shows up as "unknown error." I'm going to reformat my computer in the next week and maybe that will fix the problem. I will post them asap!

PS-what are you doing home on a Friday?

I made it back alive! Haha.

Funny that someone should note about deer on Cypress.

The first apartment complex at the bottom of the hill is called DEER RIDGE! :laughing

But they were holding up traffic cuz Nissan was taking moving pictures of a 2007 Nissan Skyline...

Yup a new skyline. It was right hand drive and everything. The pictures were for Asia I believe. It's basically an Infiniti G35 with a bit more room and more ponies.

Looked reaaaaaly nice though. I wouldn't mind one.

But they ruined my fun at the first lookout hairpin
