When: Leave the 232nd & Hwy 1 Chevron at 10:00 a.m.

Pace: Spirited, but not 'out of control' ride. Ride your own ride. :)

Lunch in Princeton

Return through Merritt - Spences Bridge - Hwy 1

Let me know if you're going to join the ride so we can wait for you. If you're in the valley we swing by the TH on Vedder to pick you up.

Jess & Linda... you coming??

I won't be able to let you know much before 8 - 8:30 tomorrow morning. If I can, you know that I'll be there.
Nancy, I'm pretty sure I'm coming. I just got home though and headin' to bed, so unless I accidently sleep in, I will be there :thumbup

I'll text you in the morning, so you're not waiting for me. I'll meet you at Chevron on 232nd.

Jess
Unfortunately, I'll have to pass on this Manning ride. I don't have that much to do today but I really have to take care of it all this morning......no early ride for me.
You better dress warm and hold on to your handles (big time) cause it's windy like hell out there. Since I will probably be able to ride later this afternoon I might just do so just around here.
Be safe you guys and have a great ride!!
curses you 10am start people!!
foiled again!!!! damn those meddling kids :)

my bike is kinda fixed so I would've loved to go on this, but Im just tightening the bolts now :/

Cory
i slept till 11:20. that's the problem with working till 4am. it cuts into my daytime riding hrs!!
You guys missed an awesome ride today. Everything was perfect!! There was hardly any traffic on the parts that really counted (Princeton to Merritt & Merritt to Spences Bridge) and the weather was awesome. The $99 I spent on this electric vest is worth it's weight in gold - for this time of year I'd highly recommend spending the cash.

I was looking at the weather outlook... October 12th looks like it would be a good day to go for a ride. Who's in?? (How about the North Cascade Hwy via Manning Park so Pat can make it for part of the ride)??

We'll leave when the temperature hits 10 degrees.
Just when I thought I've had the best riding season ever...it just keeps getting better!!!! Today was absolutely fantastic (and I'm not exaggerating). The newly paved section between Princeton-Aspen Grove is a biker's dream. Smooth as a baby's bum and free of gravel/debris.That stretch alone makes it worthwhile to do the whole loop, rather than turn around after Princeton.

It was pretty nipply for me (sans heated vest) through Hope-Manning, but the temperature heated up after lunch. :) It stayed quite warm at Lytton which surprised me.

Only major event was the deer family reunion we encountered near Spences Bridge. That was exciting! Thank goodness deer and bikers decided to mind their own business and go on their merry 'lil way.

Almost 700kms of pure riding bliss. I hit a milestone on my bike today - 25,000 kms I've ridden this season and still counting.....:rockon

So,...Oct 12th? I'll mark it on my calendar. Hopefully, I'll get my new iPod and heated vest by then :thumbup
25,000 kms on odometer?
or
25,000 kms this year?

my 2004 fjr had 73,000 kms when it slid off the road.

Mark
Haha...Thanks Mark. But it's 25,000 kms this year.
Close to 50K on the odometer.
I thought i was doing well with 13k :)
Jess,

Nice,

Next year, lets do a iron butt ride?

I use a gerbings jacket, the best.
heated neck and arms

Mark
73,000kms? Wow. That's impressive!
I'd be in for doing the Iron Butt. But does that mean I should forego buying the new Gixxer750 and choose an FJR or VFR instead :p?

Nah...I'll just keep both bikes and use the F4i for 'touring' :thumbup

Thanks, Mark. I've heard good things about Gerbings.
Jess,

The FJR wasn't my daily driver, either.
I take my dog, "Briko" to work with me.

The shop dog.

The FJR is a great ride.
The 2007 Yamaha's are being introduced on www.yamaha-motor.com
Oct 9th. - 4 pm eastern time

I'll be buying another FJR, I wonder what the 07 colour will be.
I'm not crazy about the blue and i'm not ready for electonic shift.
5 up, shifting and a missing clutch lever....just doesn't seem right.

I'm definitely in for the 12th! I am SO darn jealous right now.....

Cory
Sorry I couldnt make it Nancy, glad you guys had an awesome ride :thumbup

You weekday riders suck. :flip :flip
I hope the bug that I feel coming on doesn't get really bad around...say the 12th...I might have to take a day off work and get some fresh mountain air. We'll see how it goes.
The weather is looking good for the 12th, but who knows?? I'll post up if it looks like we're not going to freeze ourselves on the way & back!
