Hey all,

So it's almost 8 months since the day my life changed forever, when my soul mate, my husband and the father to my baby boy died on a ride up to squamish on feb 11, 2006.

Now that the riding season is coming to an end for most ( even though riders like Rick ride year round ) I am torn between being slightly relieved to see less motorcycles on the road and missing seeing you all out there.

Have to tell you, it has taken all will power to not just buy a new bike and ride but feel as a surviving parent I need to be conservative in the risks I take...

Never regret for a second that Rick rode and so happy that he was on a ride and grinning ear to ear on the day he died.

Love you Rick. Hope you are somewhere perfect and where the roads are clear and the sun shines all the time.

Love always. Rachel and Coen

I can not imagine the pain and the hurt you must feel. I know that each minute/hour/day with your son lifts you to a higher understanding and will give you strength to live on and heal. Rick is still riding and is still right beside you....God bless you and your family.

We never forget anyone of our riding brothers that fall, we respect, we remember and we honor them. For the up coming future riders, ride with pride, ride with heat, but never forget those who have been lost. R.I.P Rick. We will see you on the road again. Till then. Your spirit rides on.

hey there Rachel.

you must go through so many different emotions in the aftermath of that day.
I hope each passing day brings a little more healing for you.

there's really nothing but time that makes us feel good again.

if there is anything we can do for you, you can count me in too.

Rachel, thank you for reminding me to ride more carefully not only for myself and others on the road, but for my loving family and friends.

I've considered throwing in the towel to riding on the streets. What has kept me going is my Knowing of a Spirit Guide with me on every ride, hovering over my passenger seat wherever I go. We all have Spirit Guides looking after us and our greatest good, yet many of us simply choose to turn our attention elsewhere (myself included at times).

I always wondered how Julia felt after Bog had left us. Then she found a new life and seemed as happy as I had ever seen her.

The we sadly lost Julia, and I don't see Robert much, so I'm unable to guage his healing abilities.

You will have a new chapter in your life some day as well Rachel, covering many realms.
