I've been wearing my MP3 player on my belt but I can't adjust the volume because it's covered by my jacket.

I finally got a Velcro strip, long enough to wrap around my left thigh and can clip the MP3 player onto it. This will keep it secure and be able to control it with my left hand.

The cord for the earbud runs up my leg and under the back of my jacket so the cord isn't dangling, minimizing the possibility of it getting caught on something or interefering with my arm.

I don't want to have the MP3 player attached to the bike in case I go down and the ear buds tear off my ears or something as the bike pulls the attached MP3 player with it.

I've thought about using an arm band but then I have to turn my head to look at the MP3 player and have my hand move too far away from the handlebar.

Anyone else have better ideas?

i have a remote (19.99 at london drugs)that is attached to the ipod and it has a clip that i can attach to pocket lip. The ipod is in my jacket or on my hip with a belt clip. I can control volume, next or previous song, pause and play.
You can also get a blue tooth wireless remote that you can attach to your bike's tank. London Drugs is having a clearance sale on some of this stuff

I have something similar but it's a wireless remote for my ipod mini. the ipod's in my inside pocket and the remote is velcroed to my stem. It's great as I don't have any cords attach and all the same functions mentioned above.

I've looked for something similar for the Nano but haven't seen anything yet.

no point adjusting the volume. io just turn it on mid high and when the sound kicks in.. it's perfect.
(plus, i got no time to constantly adjusting volume allthe time)

I'm on the highway everyday and would like to turn it on once I'm there. While riding in city traffic I prefer to turn it off.

Besides, Slowzuki plays with his thumb often enough, you can't tell me that's a good distraction.

I have recently discovered the joys of music while riding. I do not listen during commutes, or the average ride - however, on my trip through the states I played it during the HOURS upon HOURS of freeway driving.

Makes the time pass a LOT faster.

I purchased a tankbag that has a small pocket built in. Cant' remember the brand right now.. but check out the tankbag solutions at your local shop.

After reading your past posts about where you stick you thumb, I imagine your wife must hate that worse than the Thumb!
It’s a lot easier to surprise her with the thumb than the MP3 player…Also the lube is more expensive…takes like half a bottle every time we try to get the IPOD up in that thing! But once it’s up there it’s pretty safe…hard to get ripped off, and tough to scratch up in a motorcycle accident…
