This will be a bit of a dumb thread..but I am interested in which Speedo's have an indicator level above 300KPH... (analog or digi)

I'll start with one that does....the 97 gsxr 1100...... 320KPH top....like it would ever do that...... hahahaha (ok maybe downhill with a turbo and about 10 miles of road)

Musta been quite a gimmick in 97...... and I have one so...it's really funny when the occasional cager/pedestrian comes buy and says "how fast will it go'..I point to the speedo..... they usually 'drop a doodie' right there and I have to get away from the stink..hehehe...

i checked my bike the other day..... the road to squamish got like 2-3 speed detectors on the thing.....
i rode past, and watch the thing go up up up and BOOM..... no more numbers..... just dots.... i think i screwed the thing lol

anywayz, i tried riding slow..... and the digital speedometer is off by like 8 km/h roughly

so if i'm running 68km/h the speed trap says 60

So..... so far we have the ZX 12R, The Busa, some GSXR 1100's, and were checking on the Veyron...... what about early R1's? The honda Blackbird?

So before the lawyers for the big 4 decided 300KPH (186MPH) was the majic #...... some of the 300+KPH guages got to market...that's nice to know..... maybe a collectors attribute in itself if our "save everbody from themselves" conservatism continues in the future.

Anybody else got a 300+KPH guage on another bike not noted above... I am wondering what the "Ultra Blackbird" ..the Honda V&M 50th anniversary Superblackbird would have had......at 174 RWHP back in 99.....

less accidents, more high ego motorists

it would be a windy day..... our speedo says 150km/h while we're just doing the speed limit of 90km/h, our andrenaline's all pumped

i'm an excessive speeder as well, so what da hell...... who cares

nope. barely any bike in stock form can do 186 mph.

I didn't really have that as an expected outcome of the thread..but as you say 'who cares'....

as Blade sez.... most bikes won't even get to their theoretical 186 a.k.a 300.

I guess i was just wondering which bikes have such 'inflated ego's' themselves.

I myself would rather have the speedo's do what they do today...overestimate or stop at 299...cause it likely keeps a bit of a safety factor for riders, manufacturer's and the like.

And for all those wankers out there that buy a bike that they know claims to do "the top end limit"..and then would dare to tell me it wasn't a factor in their buying decision......um....OK..sure...

And for those who have bought said "top end" bike...and then don't take it past 2/3'rds....... congrats on your restraint....and maybe you wasted your money.....unless your speedo is taped over or removed cause your on the track... then..... respect. Or your stunting the shit out of it.....hahahaha...that's good on any bike...mind you I haven't seen too many people stunting on a big heavy pigs the the Busa or ZX's
