Ive looked at a couple of Honda CBR600's. I am new. Im guessing the RR is a bit too much bike for a newb so I think F4i would be more suitable.. Ive checked out Kawasaki 636 Suzuki GSXR-600 Yamaha R6 and Honda but im lookin for general advice, anything would be appreciated thanks

if you think a pirate bike (RR) is too much bike for a newb, what makes you think any 600 cc bike will be ok? honda is far from the be all and end all of bikes.

if it's your first bike, try looking at something a bit tamer, like an sv 650, a gs 500, or the kawi (=junk) 500.

sportbikes suck ass...everyone on here is just plain stupid! Harleys are where its at. they are big, heavy, handle awesome, will blow the piant of sportbikes, and there made in the good ol USA....that is were every thing stamped with quality is made. And when you get bored of stuffin everyone on here in the corners, you can put a crash cage on you HD and stunt it all day long.

Sportbikes = junk

....now go forth and multiply!

Seriously, for a moment.
Asking for the "leader in sportbikes," is like asking about the best underwear.
Forget about the name on the bike, buy, and ride what you like, what fits you best, and gives you the greatest joy when you walk up to it.

If you buy what *you* like, everything else is just, well, masturbation.

if you are buying a bike based on looks alone, have whatever you buy painted pink... or get a big starbucks logo on the side. maybe "robson and thurlow crew" underneath it.

the best women are the rich dirty ones:D

better question is which brand is generally better quality. Use ford as in example, there is no quality there

As it stands, Honda is the leader as far as a product is concerned. Yamaha is trying hard and is closing the gap. I know all this to be true because someone told me and I believed him.

I don't know why guys joke so much in front of someone who isn't sure of what he's doing, and is willing to ask for help.
First I must point out there is a lot of joking going on here, so don't believe everything you read in this thread.

If it's your first bike, chances are you want something you can learn on best, not something that is far above your skill level and bites you everytime you make a small error.

Jokesters are important to this board. So are the guys that give the information straight up. Dumpsters aren't cool though. People shouldn't be so sensitive unless their best friends are dumping on them.

Before you pour the Kokanee and toast to victory... consider that HD is second.

Honda owns the biggest piece of the market share in part due to the size of their menu. Too bad we don't have a more detailed look...

Wonder if anyone can get the ICBC stats? Could it be a close 4-sportbike race?
