I am looking to get a slip-on pipe for my 2002 ZX-6R so if anyone has a used one they want to part with let me know. I want something nice and loud but not obnoxious. Or if anyone has a full system that is not to expensive I would consider that.

I have the Yoshimura RS-3 titanium oval slipon I picked up from BK....not too loud

bought it for : $150 with taxes came to $171.75

Bracket came for: $30
Name badge: $20
Total for acc. : $57.25

Install of name badge: $15 +taxes = $17.125

Grand total : $246.175

I am having second thoughts about the yosh. my fuel mileage is a bit off, my carefully mapped suspension settings too and it gives a bit of a buzz at 6k-9k rpm, small flat spot at 5.5k-6k rpm and again at 8k-9k rpm.....

Human, whats the deal, sounds like you want to go back to stock. I am thinking about a D&D pipe that one of the guys on here has for sale, I know its loud, but thats fine for me. Am I going to run into all these problems too. And ya do I need to re-jet with just a slip on?:confused

Manny has a D&D slip on for your bike, it's hardly been used and am sure if you contact him he will sell it to you....ya they say you don't need to rejet but expect some flat spots....remember that unlike other sportbikes the 6Rs have catalytic convertors in them, so we get a higher boost in hp with slip ons but also the side effects of not jetting is more....

You will be shakin like a mofo with a D&D on your bike. I hear that they are a little more than tollerable. I like my pipe. After starting it up today and reving it to 9 grand it had a pretty loud but not abnoxious rumble down low and screamed up high.I also dont have any flat spots at all, and the bike use to not pull as hard after 12 grand but after putting this pipe on it actually pulls alot stronger all the way to 14 grand. I traded a sony discman for my pipe and it came off the identical bike too. Guy lowsided on the left side so his pipe was still flawless. ;)

Wait till you hear my pipe man, you will be hooked :rider
