So I got my bike stolen recently. It was found in a ditch in Chilliwack. Whoever was riding the bike when it crashed must have been hurt.

If the scumbag who stole it is lurking here please provide your name, DOB and address. I need to talk to you...

"ouch" thought my bf was just being paranoid with locking both our bikes up like Fort Knox. But the more I read on here, I sadly get why we lock both front wheels, anchor chain'd them together on back, alarm'd, cover'd, and in a secure under ground. I am blown away with how many bikes disappear and reappear in the graveyard shape yours is in.. Hope you were insure'd and will be be back on the road soon.. :) ps.. how much for the exhaust ?

What year is that thing?
Look around maybe a dead body is far away from the crash scene????
And WTH is that vehicle in the background?
If it was meant to get taken it will be i kinda chuckle every time someone post things like this...

Pretty sure some person is going to email you all the info on them?
Question was it insured?
What did they have to go through to get the bike was it nailed down like fort knoxx?

Shit happens if it isn't bikes its cars and trucks if its not 4 wheels its your house or business?
Happens all the time folks. Thing is with the economy all fuked its going to happen more and more....
So lock your shit up really tight

The bike was a 2006 Kawi Z750s
Thanks to all who have replied and offered condolences and help.
The bike was not insured for theft (long story). It was not properly secured. it was out front of my house and didn't have to be. I have a garage.I take full responsibility for that. However, Whoever stole it is still a goof.
The officer who recovered the bike said he looked extensively for a dead or injured body so the ditch is clear.
The vehicle in the backyard was at the towing company in Chilliwack. No idea what it is...
I'll never stop riding. EVER!
Anyone can pm me if they want the exhaust or tires/wheels.

And yes. If the person who stole my bike is reading this forum. please identify yourself. I just want to talk....

thats rough... sorry to hear about your luck. more I read about this the more I'm thinking about extra protection.

I dont have theft on my bike either cause ICBC wanted an extra 600 for the final 6months of my autoplan. nope thats more then a 3rd of what I paid.

next year I'll be getting theft tho.

good luck... if those tires are 17" pm me a price.

Very very sorry for your bike, here in my town there´s no insurance agency that covers bikes, and my dad got 2 bikes stolen long ago, so I understand your pain!!!

But on a brighter side.. I think you could get A LOT of parts sold on ebay... Think about calipers, handlebars, seat, cowlings, even nuts and bolts.. With the right amount of dedication you could get the most of the bike sold... ORR you could do what I did when I crashed my 93´ katana.. bring it back to life!! It had a bent chasis and still ran straight... those kanatunas really were indestructible!!

Just from the pictures, looking past the tank, plastics and handle bar, it doesn't look that bad. Take some time, strip all the busted shit off it and see what it would take to make a nice little street fighter out of it. I would bet that for under $1000, you could have a really cool bike. Chop shop is your friend this week.

DNA on a motorcycle theft?

You guys sure are way the hell out there.

That will cost more than the damn insurance that should have
been on the bike in the first place.

I have no sympathy for folks without insurance. You play the
game, you pay the price if you are the victim.

If you run without it for enough years and don't get it ripped off,
you have saved enough cash to replace it.

If it's ripped off and you are pissed, then obviously it was worth
enough to have insured in the first place.

Smokeshow 81... just a quick question.. Isn't your bike worth more then $600... !! Sadly Lipth here has learnt the hard way.. I know it hurts my pocket book as well but then spending another $6000 would so hurt more plus the embarassment of having to be someone elses' lesson.. it can happen to you..
