My fuel injection light came on when I tried to start up my bike today after I rode it up to Squamish but it start up fine in the end after some revving.

Then on the way back the bike died when I was doing 130km/hr and I just had to start it up again while riding. Again the fuel injection light came on.

Is this normal or something that I need to bring to the shop to get it checked out?

check your battery connections and make sure they are tight and not grounding out somewhere.

I did some googling and most of them said their bike died when riding /w high beams on all the time if you are just putting around or cursing in the low rpm's because the battery doesn't get charged enough when you have some much load on it (fan, brake light, headlights, signals, etc).

I'm on the highway most of the time cruising around at 4-5k rpm /w high beam on. I will try riding /w just low beam on and see how it goes.

Isn't 4-5krpm enough to keep my electrical system going /w high beam on all the time and charge my battery? Mind you my front two turn signals are always amber unless when I'm signaling.

I rode on the highway again to whistler and on the way back home I was planning to take the lions gate bridge but then my battery was starting to die on me.

I had to keep the revs up so I went back onto the highway. I had the high beam on the whole trip and turned it off when the battery started dying on the way home and the battery started charging again fine without the high beam.

How do I keep the high beam on all the time without it depleting the battery?

Thanks

Something is wrong! hahaha....

The bike should keep running if you unhook the battery.

so, you need to check the charging system....at even 2500 rpm the bike should be making 14volts. So if your cruising at 4000 and your not making enough power to keep running something is wrong..

What kind o bike? Some hondas had Rectifier issues....SOme R6 's too

........... the bike died when I was doing 130km/hr and I just had to start it up again while riding.

You were going too fast on that stretch of road.
Sea-to-sky is mostly 80km/h, you were doing 130km/r

Some bikes are factory equipped with speed transponders.
Municipalities can elect to use transmitters/receivers roadside.
If you are going above the speed limit, it cuts your engine out until you have reached the speed limit, only then the transponder will allow you to re-start your bike.
