I'd be cautious of something that runs on "gasoling" - that stuff is pretty volatile.

 

why not trade yer 230 for a 230L or try to insure yours.my dad just rode a new dr650 at the dualsport and thought it was a blast!

 

I already have the 230 street plated and insured, just thinking of another dual bike for Bert. I put the Baja kit on before leaving BC, and then it was super easy to get it registered here. I bought insurance on-line, took the paperwork to the registrar/licencing agency, and bingo, got a plate. No inspection, no nothing. Buying insurance on-line is super convenient, the paperwork is emailed to me.

The other option is to buy an older KLR for about the same price, and have Bert use that. I'm just thinking of the ability to ride on the road vs. only off-road with a quad.

K, if I can have the same job/wages/benefits with the lower cost housing we have here, I'd be all over it!!

 

There's also nowhere in BC where you can have a giant Pysanki, or a Giant Mallard, or a giant Kubassa all within 50k of each other
