$3500 will get you a nice used bike from any of the major brands. I have heard some bad stories with reliability and parts, And I heard some OK reviews. But my past experience with the earlier Chinese or Overseas bikes was not good. All broke and I couldn't get parts.

Sinclair, and Scooter king across from Western Yamaha would be the first 2 places to look and ask about the product.

Looking to get a bigger scooter (50cc current)

I am on a limited budget and got to ride the SAGA Cruise 250 today, it is interesting and way faster than my 50cc and can comfortably hit 125kph with my BIG (300lbs) frame. Love the large storage box..a bit flimsy but will hold my helmet so i dont have to carry it around after i park.



Concerned because i am only familiar with japanese brands like yamaha, Honda Suzuki, but its just WAY...WAY out of my budget. The SAGA are selling for NEW 2010 at $3500 cdn.

Any advice? Stories would be MUCH appreciated.

I worked at a Yamaha dealer for about a year and all I have to say is that every scooter / motorcycle / atv made in China that crossed my path was absolutely positively an utter piece of shit. I would never let anyone in my family or anyone I actually cared about ride any piece of garbage no name bike / scooter made in China.

If you want a 250cc scooter, find yourself a decent honda silverwing 250.
